Ghana Enterprise Agency (GEA) which happens to be under the Ministry of Trade and Industry through which the World Bank funded the Ghana Economic Transformation Project (GETP) is deploying grants.
This is an initiative by the government of Ghana. To help Small and medium Enterprises SMEs to enable them grow out of the COVID-19 crisis.
This happens to be a nationwide grant program meaning one can apply from any part of the country.
This program is expected to spur the economic recovery of SMEs.
This is the second phase of COVID-19 grant. This grant is strictly for SMEs only no startups are allowed to apply. Also, Micro enterprises and large enterprises/corporates are not eligible and should not apply.
The focus is strongly on export firms, female-owned enterprises, companies owned by people with disabilities and youth enterprises.
