Wi-flix, the fastest-growing video-on-demand streaming platform in Africa has announced the integration of Dolby Atmos TM to enhance its customer’s entertainment experience. Viewers with compatible Dolby Atmos-enabled devices can now enjoy a growing library of film titles in Spatial Sound, allowing them to connect more deeply to their favorite shows and movies with sound that moves all around them with breathtaking realism. Additionally, the service has also integrated Dolby AudioTM, offering users a wide array of titles available in realistic surround sound.

Louis Manu, Co-Founder of Wi-flix and Chief Commercial and Technology Officer, expressed his excitement about the breakthrough integration, marking a significant milestone for Wi-flix as the first African-owned video-on-demand platform to offer Spatial Sound entertainment experiences with Dolby Atmos. Wi-flix has updated its catalog with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Audio-enabled titles such as The Signal Bilal, Freedom Force, and created Equal, and it’s excited to launch its first Dolby Atmos enabled Wi-flix Originals in the coming month. The company also plans add more Dolby Atmos and Dolby Audio enabled titles to its growing library of content in the next few months.
