Startupbootcamp The most forward-thinking African technology startups in important industry verticals are invited to submit applications to AfriTech, an African technology accelerator, for the Telecel Group Africa Startup Initiative Accelerator Program.
The ASIP Accelerator aims to support the subsequent generation of early-stage African tech entrepreneurs in order to disrupt crucial industry sectors like FinTech, InsureTech, AgriTech, Climate-tech, eCommerce, Digital Health, and CleanTech, Mobility, Micro-leasing, and digitizing the informal economy.
Over the previous five years, 50 African startups have successfully completed the SBC AfriTech Accelerator. “90% of our grads are still operational and scaling,” said program director Henry Ojour. “SBC portfolio companies have earned over $120 million in follow-on financing in total, and the Telecel Group ASIP Program’s first two cohorts are doing extremely well. We believe Cohort 3 will set new records and achieve great things.
The chosen participants will receive intensive coaching over the course of three months through expert-led seminars on scaling topics like the business model canvas, lean methodology, and funding.
The program will take place in Senegal, and it will come to a close with a hybrid Demo Day when business owners will showcase their ground-breaking ideas in front of a sizable audience of journalists, financiers, corporate partners, and business executives.
The Accelerator Squared platform, which offers an extensive library of content, group workshops, one-on-one mentoring, collaborative sessions with Entrepreneurs in Residence, and invite-only discussion forums with founders from across the world, will also be available to Telecel Group ASIP Startups.
Along with this, dedicated Entrepreneurs-In-Residence and seasoned mentors also offer personally personalized help (EIRs).
The 10 firms taking part in the ASIP initiative will receive benefits totaling more than $750,000 in addition to the direct cash commitment of $18,000, including credits from AWS, Google Cloud Services, and other providers.
The due date for submissions is November 11, 2022.
