Today, statistics show only 5.31% of software developers worldwide are women. mPharma wants to help change this narrative. The healthtech startup is pleased to announce the maiden edition of a special internship program for female engineers in Africa called WiSE!
This internship is a 12-month virtual program that offers real-world engineering and technology experience, including design, product development, coding, documentation, and more.
“Last month, the world celebrated the International Day of Women in Engineering – but this campaign was more about a diverse workforce than just women in Engineering. We want to influence the conversation moving forward, and this program is aimed to help just do that!”
“At mPharma, we start and end our day thinking about how we can enable patients to afford their medications. We are a small but growing team of 500+ members, headquartered in Accra, Ghana, backed by world-class investors. We’ve joined hands with third-party payers, drug manufacturers, and healthcare providers to develop products and services that directly reduce the costs of prescription drugs for patients. In only a few months, we’ve managed to provide low-cost, high-quality medicines to tens of thousands of patients across nine (9) African countries (Ghana, Gabon, Nigeria, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Rwanda),” mPharma stated.
Do you want to solve business challenges through innovative technology? Do you enjoy working on cutting-edge, scalable services technology in a team environment? Do you like working on industry-defining projects that move the needle?
