For its 2024 cohort, the MEST Africa Training Program is currently accepting applications.
This 12-month program, which will be held in Accra, Ghana, is designed to impart commercial technology and entrepreneurial skills to young people from all over the continent.
Through the Training Program, which was started in 2008 as a fully funded project by the Meltwater Foundation, over 800 young African tech entrepreneurs have received training.
Graduates of the program have founded more than 80 businesses, secured initial capital, and created thousands of jobs throughout the continent as a result.
One of the top pan-African programs of its kind, the MEST Training program goes beyond teaching software to give aspiring business owners training in business, marketing, communication, and other soft skills.
The fully funded program, which also focuses on helping aspiring entrepreneurs to develop, build, and expand successful tech enterprises in Africa, offers high-potential firms coming out of the program up to $100,000 in seed money and business incubation.
MEST has produced some of the continent’s fastest-growing businesses in a range of industries.
