A platform for booking guesthouses has been developed by the Cameroonian firm Mungenow to make it easier for travelers to and within the continent’s major cities to locate trusted accommodations at prices they can afford. Mungenow, which is currently live with listings from Buea, Limbe, Douala, Yaounde, and Kribi, promises to connect travelers with reasonably priced and dependable lodging while letting them choose from a range of payment choices. The firm asserts that it independently verifies each of these guesthouses to ensure quality, which is an important – though perhaps not scalable – feature.
The mission of Mungenow, according to co-founder and CTO George Enow, is to offer travelers a “home away from home” experience, regardless of their financial situation. “Instead of just listing various lodging choices on the platform we give our consumers real value by personally validating each guesthouse featured on our platform to establish its existence, confirm its true location, and confirm the availability of the complete range of services offered before listing, according to Enow. “In this way, our customers can be sure that what they see on our site is genuinely attainable over time. Therefore, they may make reservations and payments in advance using any of the local and global payment methods incorporated into our platform.
