As part of the government’s strategy to engage young business owners and entrepreneurs, the GIPC is organizing the fourth edition of the Young Entrepreneurs Forum (YEF). The previous editions exposed over 1,000 young entrepreneurs to business issues including taxation, attracting finance, developing new markets, establishing partnerships, bookkeeping, financial literacy and communication, and marketing strategies.
The GIPC’s Young Entrepreneurship Forum (YEF) is an event designed to harness and support the business potential of Ghana’s promising youth through mentorship, education, and skills development.
The YEF platform brings like-minded entrepreneurs together to share ideas, insights and success stories to inspire each other and proffer solutions on how to excel in their various industries.
Every year, over 600 young entrepreneurs and business owners gather at the vibrant forum to exhibit their products and services and undertake masterclasses handled by industry leaders. The long-term plan is to broaden the knowledge base of the youth while preparing them to become accomplished business leaders.
As Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, “we cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future”.
This year’s edition is scheduled for 30th August 2022 from 8:30 am – 4.30 pm.
The theme “Connect. Accelerate. Grow. – Building the Startup Ecosystem for a Better Future”, will be held in conjunction with the Centre’s European Union -West Africa Competitiveness Programme and will support SMEs in agro-processing, commercial farming, light manufacturing, housing and construction, tourism and ICT/ digital economy industries.
